In preparation for my wild camping trip to Snowdonia I got some new gear (bivvy bag, 4 season sleeping bag) and it seemed to be prudent not to test them in live situation for the first time, so I thought I'll try them during a wild camping trip in New Forest national park located practically in our back yard.
My companion was Pulcsi, my dog, during this quest. We spent 2 days and 2 nights outside and walked about 55 kms following roughly this route: Lyndhurst, Danny Lodge, Boldre, Sway, Burley, Linwood, Ringwood.
Both days we crossed plenty of heath and wooded areas as well. The pics below should speak for themselves.
morning after the first night out
fallow deer
peeping fallow deer
well-deserved siesta in the heath's heat
brook in the heath
gorse
Boldre central: more ponies than people
Lymington river
soft lichen bed for sleeping
white hart
marbled white
siesta once again
Where is Pulcsi?

dry riverbed
